AUTO ACCIDENTS – Injuries involving auto accidents, truck accidents, and motorcycle accidents are all known as personal injury claims. Auto accidents are an everyday fact of life in Georgia. In 2000 Georgia ranked 4th in traffic fatalities, following the top three states: California, Florida and Texas. In 2005 over 2.7 million people sustained injuries as a result of highway vehicle crashes according to the U.S. Department of Transportation. If you’ve been injured in a motor vehicle accident, seek the advice of an experienced attorney.
Our office offers a free consultation to discuss your personal injury claim at length and our office receives no fees for services unless we recover for you. Attorney, Kathy Grantham, experienced in settlement negotiations, can help assess the value of your personal injury claim and can negotiate a higher settlement amount with the insurance companies than you could on your own. For an experienced personal injury attorney who is close to home and won’t try and dazzle you with flashy ads or big billboards promising you outrageous settlement amounts, but will fairly negotiate your claim, please give attorney, Kathy Grantham of Grantham Law Office, a call at (478) 923-0300 and schedule a free consultation concerning your personal injury claim.

DEBTOR RELIEF – There are many options for debt relief such as Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Bankruptcy is a federal law provided to you designed to get you a fresh start free from harassing creditor phone calls, lawsuits, repossessions and garnishments. It is a privilege granted to you under the United States Constitution. It forces your creditors to permanently wipe out your debts (Chapter 7) or to accept a repayment plan, which you have proposed (Chapter 13). Please give our office a call to schedule a free consultation to discuss your individualized needs.
DIVORCE – There are thirteen grounds for divorce in the State of Georgia. However, most divorces are granted on the single ground that the marriage is “irretrievably broken.” It is not necessary to show any wrongdoing or fault, commonly known as a “no-fault” divorce. There is a six-month residency requirement for filing for a divorce in Georgia. No legal separation period is required. A Final Decree of Divorce will not be granted until all parties have resolved all legal issues by settlement or trial, including child custody, support, visitation, and other financial issues such as division of assets and liabilities. Our office only handles divorce cases that do not involve any children and that are uncontested. Uncontested means that all of the issues are worked out and both parties are in full agreement of the divorce. To schedule a free consultation to discuss your uncontested divorce, please give our office a call.
PERSONAL INJURY – Personal injury cases involve a wide range of circumstances, including injuries and deaths due to automobile, motorcycle and trucking accidents, aviation and maritime catastrophes, construction hazards, slip and fall accidents, and defective products and unsafe consumer appliances. State laws and procedures vary greatly, so, it is important to consult a firm with expertise in this area of the law to ensure that the deceased’s assets are distributed correctly. SLIP AND FALL ACCIDENTS – Slip and fall accidents can occur at any time and any place and range from falling in a store on food products or unknown liquids to falls from potholes in parking lots. If you fell on someone else’s property, you’ve been involved in a “slip and fall” accident. These types of accidents have also been called, trip and fall accidents, stump and fall accidents, and step and fall accidents. For the more precise, the most correct term to describe these accidents would be “premises liability claims.” It’s safe to say, whatever you wish to call them, these types of accidents are an everyday occurrence in Georgia.
